The EEMAX Global Conclave and Awards 2015 will take place on September 19 and 20 at Taj Lands End, Mumbai. The members on the international jury for the awards include event professionals and board members from across the world, Indian board members and brand heads, Bollywood actors, designers, and even politicians.
EVENTFAQS has been doing a series of stories introducing the 33-member strong jury. In this piece, we bring to you David Zolkwer, Yannick Colaco, and Milind Deora!
David Zolkwer, SVP & Director Public Events, Jack Morton Worldwide
David has led the project and creative direction of some of the most highly acclaimed public events around the world. This includes the Hong Kong Handover & Farewell; and the ceremonies that opened and closed the Manchester 2002 Commonwealth Games, the Athens 2004 Olympic Games and the Melbourne 2006 Commonwealth Games. He also served as creative and production consultant to the Beijing Organizing Committee of the 2008 Olympic Games; Artistic Director for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the FIFA 2009 Confederations Cup, South Africa and the FIFA 2010 World Cup, South Africa.; and Head of Ceremonies and Artistic Director for the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies.
Yannick Colaco, Managing Director, NBA India
Yannick Colaco took over as Managing Director of the National Basketball Association from its formative year in India and manages its Mumbai-based India office, overseeing all of the league's business and basketball development in the country. Colaco was formerly the Chief Operating Officer of Nimbus Sport. Earlier, he was a university level cager. Colaco is responsible for leading the growth of NBA in the country and continues to build on the league's efforts to grow participation in basketball in partnership with the Basketball Federation of India (BFI).
Milind Deora, Former MP
Deora used to be a Member of Parliament from the Indian National Congress from the South Mumbai constituency. He entered the Lok Sabha in 2004, and has served as Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology with the additional charge of the Minister of State for shipping. Deora holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (BBA) from Boston University. His love for music is well known, and as an accomplished guitarist he has several performances to his credit. He is passionate about music and is a regular at the best music festivals and technology expositions across the world. Deora is interested in mentoring youth initiatives and in helping the events and culture industry.
The EEMAX Global Awards 2015 has on its international jury successful board leaders from India and around the world, as well as Indian celebrities and professionals.
