The 2-day leadership summit was jointly hosted by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India; the Ministry of Health, Government of Ethiopia; USAID; UNICEF; The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation; and Tata Trusts. The event  brought together  health ministers from 24 priority countries that committed to the Global Call To Action for Child Survival in June 2012 , state health ministers from India, international academic experts, health practitioners, and global leaders from diverse sectors - corporate, civil society and media. Taking place for the first time in India, the summit was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Translation India was entrusted with the responsibility of providing systems to ensure multilingual interpretation on both days of the event. Bosch Integrus systems were used to manage and transmit 3 languages live and seamlessly. Sound proof booths setup on site were imported from Canada, and ensured a noise-free, comfortable and professional environment for skilled interpreters in Portugese, French and Hindi. The Bosch systems used implemented a 32-Channel Transmitter, CCU units, 6 Radiators to ensure full coverage, and multiple consoles for interpreters, whose headphones and systems had their own UPS for complete power backup. Delegates, too, were provided with Bosch wireless receivers with headphones.

Commenting on the value added by this translation technology and the response to it, Anirvan Roy, Head, Translation India remarked, “Interpretation was of prime importance considering the huge representation from African countries, including Mali and Ethiopia, where people speak in French and Portugese. The international media, which was well-represented at the event, also availed of the interpretation services. Translation India was commended by the organisers for meticulous planning and ensuring that everything was set up well within the time schedule and as per protocol.”

The multilateral summit saw the use of sophisticated interpretation systems that were used to transmit 3 languages live and seamlessly.
