Encompass Events managed the UltraTech Dealer Felicitation on Aug. 22 and 23 at Clarks Amer, Jaipur. This was an incentive programme for 1000 of the best performing dealers from across the East A region. The event for dealers and their families from West Bengal took place on the first day, while the one for dealers from Bihar and Jharkhand took place the next day. The theme for the event was ‘Ek Kadam Aage’, which reasserted the company’s vision of development in the country and was also in keeping with the progressive thinking of the organisation.
Guests were welcomed to the event area through a walkway of mashaals that established the tone of the evening. Laakh bangle makers wooed the women and children with their authentic laakh bangles. A royal entrance arch adorned with life-size royal elephants was also set up. Each event saw 120 awards handed out to dealers, interspersed with performances. The show commenced with a set reveal for the audience, where dealers were made to cycle to contribute to the lighting of the stage, thus highlighting that togetherness leads to brand progress. Performances included multiple sequences by Yogeshwari (runner up of India’s Got Talent Season 6), Indian Boys, Tron, renowned singer duo Sukriti & Prakriti Kakkar and ghoomar artists to add a local touch. The awards function on both days were hosted by Mumbai-based Gunjan Sinha.
As a unique addition to the awards ceremony, the main category of award winner names were declared through a Tron Act. They were then welcomed on stage with Nagaadas, royal umbrellas and flower showers. In addition to this, the region winner was felicitated on stage with a special saafa tying ceremony accompanied by the nagaada.
On the occasion, Royston Fernandes, General Manager, Marketing Services, UltraTech said, “It is usually the razzmatazz of moving lights, thematic sets and theatrical sound that sets the trend in opening an experiential showcase of an event to the audience. We took a different route with an innovative opening act where our dealers pedalled on bicycles, thus illuminating the workmanship of each ones effort in making a distinct difference. Encompass further translated this theory through perfectly selected entertainment and engagement. We applaud the efforts of the team who kept pace with our challenging and over demanding suggestions, keeping the experience Hameesha Ek Kadam Aage.”
Commenting on the agency’s relationship with UltraTech, Rohan Patil, Director, Client Services, Encompass Events Pvt. Ltd said, “Encompass has been partnering with UltraTech Cement for a while now for various national and international shows. Encompass has also been executing the Dealer Felicitation programme for East A for two consecutive years.”
The brief provided by UltraTech was to create a unique experience for 1000 dealers at Jaipur, and to formulate a theme that could be translated experientially and be used as part of communication for upcoming campaigns. The suggestive theme was meant to take last year’s theme ‘Ek – Josh, Junoon, Jashn’ forward. Encompass’ role in the event was to come up with such a theme and to create intriguing experiences using the proposed theme across the various phases of the event. The agency was also responsible for conceptualising innovative award handovers and to provide a Jaipur flavour to the event.
On the challenges involved, Patil added, “The real task was to crack a theme for the occasion as it was meant to be a way forward from last year’s theme. The ideation of the theme was around the brand’s ‘Build Beautiful’ campaign. ‘Ek Kadam Aagey’, the theme for the event, clearly personified the fact that Build Beautiful is in itself Ek Kadam Aagey – from the other players in the market.”
The agency managed 2 consecutive awards nights for 2 sets of dealers at Clarks Amer, Jaipur
