Head honchos take centre-stage at the 14th edition of 'CEOs Sing for GF Kids'

The 14th edition of CEOs Sing for GF Kids, a fundraiser organised by Genesis Foundation to support critically ill children, was held on August 22 at ITC Gardenia in Bengaluru. The event saw fourteen CEOs of India Inc. sing for the cause – to ‘Give Life a Chance’. The musical evening began with world fusion band MoonArra setting the tone with an Indian classical and jazz fusion performance. This was followed by performances by CEOs which ranged from the musical genres of soul, rock, Bollywood oldies and Indipop. The fundraiser was supported by brands including Pernod Ricard, Britannia and The Himalaya Drug Company.
Speaking at the event, Prema Sagar, Founder Trustee, Genesis Foundation remarked, “Every time we have CEOs Sing for GF Kids here, there is always an energy in Bengaluru that makes this evening take on almost magical proportions. The talent of the CEOs is amazing, and as always, we are grateful to them for taking the time out to sing for the cause of supporting the treatment of critically ill children.”
On his contribution to the event, Ajay Kaul, CEO, Jubilant Foods said, “Though my association doesn’t go back long, it is a cause, where there are so many kids in need of help. I will keep supporting this event year on year.”
Adding to this, Arati Rao, Founder, B-Flat, who has been associated with Genesis Foundation for the past four years said, “Genesis Foundation passionately helps critically ill children and their sincerity is infectious. I am extremely thrilled and excited to be part of this noble cause.”
Commenting on the show put on, Sagar added, “The performances were really nice and it’s great to see the CEOs take their passion for music so seriously. The cause, the passion and the energy all made for a very enjoyable and meaningful evening”.
The fundraiser organised by Genesis Foundation saw 14 CEOs participate, while fusion band MoonArra also performed.
