The yearly rewards and recognition program for Mphasis concluded in the city of Pattaya. All the star performers of the year were felicitated and all the guests were treated to some great performances. The event was the first one executed by Encompass for Mphasis as a client and took place from July 31 to Aug. 1 at The Royal Cliff Hotel in Pattaya, Thailand.
The brief for Encompass was to plan, facilitate and execute the program. Taking last year’s theme (Unleash the Next) to another level was the main focus. Themed ‘Hyper Next’ this year, digitalizing the event and all aspects was the big challenge.
Encompass was up to the task of creating and hand delivering theme based hampers to each of the delegates; conceptualizing activities for the conference that would engage the delegates whilst giving them an opportunity to network; designing and fabricating the set for the conference, gala dinner and also facilitating the Olympics planned.
Encompass began digitalizing the event from the initial stages itself. A website was created for the event with all the information that guests would require for the event. From memories to the last year to what to and what not to carry for the event was mentioned on the website. A special contest page was created for the selfie contest that the guests attending the event would take part in. Emailers were sent out at regular intervals keeping the guests updated on every step.
The event saw 162 guests including overseas members from the Mphasis family. Post registrations and lunch, an evening of fun and games was arranged for the guests, called the ‘Mphasis Olympics’. Team divisions were made and the teams were put through different tasks involving a lot of team work and a lot of fun. The night was fun-filled as well, where the guests attended the famous Alcazar show and were then taken for dinner and drinks to Cyclone the Club.
The second day started with the guests going to the beach for water sports followed by a conference with the senior members of Mphasis. The gala night was more than in line with the digital theme, with a digital photo op in the pre-function area, an all-LED setup and a live webcast for those back home and around the world.
The count of the viewers who logged in was 898 at the end of the event. The event kick started with the Mphasis anthem and a split of the LED screen to let Ganesh Ayyar (CEO & Executive Director, Mphasis) set the context of the evening. This was followed by another digital phenomenon by a digital illusionist all the way from the UK, Matt-Daniel Baker. The awards took place on either side of his performance and the final act of the night got the audience to its feet, applauding till the end. Hpyerion, with its LED act lit the stage and the ballroom on fire with high energy and ended it by portraying the Mphasis logo with the swings of its LED instruments.
