Cineyug NSCI
Last month, Cineyug designed, planned, executed and managed a wedding for the Shah family of Mumbai and the celebrations hosted approximately 4000 guests!
According to the agency, the client wanted a full fledged show, similar to an award function. They wanted a larger than life affair. The wedding and sangeet both took place at NSCI. The client needed a different set up for both the events which gave the Cineyug team, only 8 hours as they were back to back events.
To cater to such a brief, Cineyug used 3D mapping for the Sangeet which started at 10 am in Dome, a venue at NSCI. It started with a 3D Mapping show and incorporated a stunning Turkish theme.
Following, the bride and groom's entry took place. Since both of them were Bollywood enthusiasts, Cineyug created entry concepts accordingly. The bride arrived in a larger than life jewellery box, similar to Katrina Kaif in a Bollywood award function, while the groom arrived on a flying unicorn on the same lines of Shahrukh Khan's entry at a Bollywood awards night!
The entertainment commenced with a group of dancers called “Nritarutya”. Nritarutya is a professional organisation for the development of contemporary dancing in India. The performing group consisted of 80 dancers, 4 flying drummers and 2 Aerial acrobats who delivered a sensational 12 minute performance.
Following, Shiamak Davar's performers not only performed to their own tunes, but also choreographed the entire performance for the family sangeet, which resulted in a fun medley of performances by both the family and the troupe, one after the other.
The most awaited artist, Mika Singh took over the stage with a 90-minute medley performance along with a band which was followed by DJ Stetson.
The next day the complete set up was changed for the wedding. An Indian temple theme was used for this celebration which started with Nritarutya welcoming the bride and groom, and performing during the Varmaala ceremony. A performance by International Symphony was also enjoyed and appreciated by one and all. For the the pheras, singer Rekha Trivedi was roped in to perform alongside the rituals.
"This was one of the most challenging and fun events executed entirely by Cineyug. For the first time, a wedding took place with the use of 3D Mapping as the main component of the decor and the themes were created to supplement this technology.", added Priyanka Soorma (Creative Director, Cineyug."
"The Shah wedding that was held at Dome, NSCI, was one of the most challenging and fun events executed entirely by Cineyug," says Priyanka Soorma, Creative Director, Cineyug.
