Classmate Art Academy Goes to 10 Cities

Beginning this week, Classmate will be taking its Art Academy to Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Pune, Jaipur, Chandigarh, Guwahati and Kolkata. Victor Tango will be executing all events. This multi-city event comes following the success of the Delhi event held in April to launch the brand’s new range of art products.

Commenting on the occasion, Abhishek Anand, Marketing Manager, Classmate, said, “With Classmate Art Academy, we plan to create avenues for both teachers and students to hone their artistic skills. Based on the positive feedback received in Delhi, we are expanding the Art Academy by taking it to more cities.”

Remarking on the upcoming events, Tabassum Modi, Managing Director, Victor Tango added, “It’s our honour to take Classmate Art Academy all over the country. The response has been overwhelming and teachers are really looking forward to the event. The vision for Art Academy is much larger and this is just the first step. There is a lot more in the offering once we finish this tour.”

Classmate Art Academy’s first workshop is on oil pastels. The content has been curated by Prof. Madhukar Munde, Head of Department - Art Teachers Training at JJ School of Arts, Mumbai and Prof. Mamoon Nomani, Head of Department - Art Education & Faculty of Fine Arts at University of Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi. Artists have been roped in to conduct the workshops. These include like Lalitha Lajmi for the Mumbai event, AV Illango in Chennai, Surbhi Soni in Jaipur, and so on.

The certificate training program will bring together art teachers from top schools of the city under one roof and give them an opportunity to learn, share, update and enhance their skills. Some teachers will be selected to be a part of the official teachers panel and will continue to provide feedback on Classmate products. The teachers who attend the workshop will also conduct a student contest when they go back to school and encourage their students to try out the new range of art products from the company.
