Ducati opens its largest store in the world in New Delhi

The iconic Italian motorcycle brand Ducati marked its arrival in India by opening its largest store in the world in New Delhi. A launch event, managed by Brandwidth Events, was held at the brand’s AMP Motors store on June 19.

During the conference, Pierfrancesco Scalzo, GM - Sales and Marketing, Ducati Asia, spoke about the brand’s history, its Italian heritage and the current range whereas Ravi Avalur, MD, Ducati Indiarector, presented plans for India’s network.

At the event, Scalzo and Avalur also unveiled two new Ducati Scrambler variants to the media - the Scrambler Classic and the Scrambler Full Throttle, accompanied by their Indian dealers. A display was also created to showcase Ducati’s current range of bikes in India, including the Multistrada, Diavel, Panigale and Monster. The media was also given a tour of the facility, to get a real look at Ducati’s international standards of displays, service centre and range of original Ducati accessories.

Commenting on the launch, Ravi Avalur, MD, Ducati India said: “This is probably the first press conference organised in a motorcycle service facility! Brandwidth did a great job of translating our vision of the afternoon into a perfectly produced event.”

Speaking about the event, Shantanu Goyal, Director Brandwidth Events, said: “We worked with the Ducati team to create an elegant environment that matched the brand’s persona of the bold and essential form that showcased modernity and substance. The entire decor was created using metal frames with contrasting colours of silver and the well-known Ducati red. We further added to the experience with service of Italian cuisine accompanied by a selection of Italian wines over lunch.”
