Viacom 18 swept away 17 awards across various categories for its English Entertainment channels Vh1 and Comedy Central at the PromaxBDA Global Excellence Awards held in Los Angeles on June 11. The awards felicitate brilliance in media marketing in all aspects, from on-air promotions, advertising and branding to interactive platforms, internationally.

 

The two channels were lauded for their innovative in-house campaigns amidst competitors from across the world, who represent the wide spectrum of broadcast channels globally. Comedy Central picked up 11 awards – 3 Gold, 5 Silver and 3 Bronze – for its outstanding campaigns, while Vh1 received 6 awards – 2 Gold, 2 Silver and 2 Bronze.

 

Commenting on the win, Ferzad Palia, EVP & Head – English Entertainment, Viacom18 said: “Both, Comedy Central as well as Vh1 enjoy individualistic viewership in India, which means promoting content on both is as much about the shows as it is about how we position them.
