The Wedding Designers Pool Party Mehendi
The Wedding Designers planned, managed and executed the pre-wedding and the wedding celebrations for the owner of Syska LED, whose daughter tied the knot with Dhiraj Nagpal at Aamby Valley City.
The celebrations commenced with a Mehendi incorporating a Quirky Modern Punjabi theme. The event took place at Fisherman’s Wharf, Aamby Valley City. Being the first function that kick started the wedding festivities, the agency recommended Fisherman’s Wharf out of the multiple venues which are part of Amby Valley as it is located by the lake and has a view of the bridge that is beautifully lit up in the night!
According to Yamini Shah and Rishi Rochlani, Directors, The Wedding Designers, “The bride & groom wanted something young abd colourful for the Mehendi.
As per their brief, we recommended colours such as Deep Purple and Fuchsia Pink fabrics with pop ups of Parrot Green and Firozi Blue elements with traditional Marigold flowers in hues of Yellow and Orange adorning the venue.
The decor had various quirky elements such as a cycle rickshaw on which the bride and groom entered the venue, an auto rickshaw and hand pump as photo-op backdrops and a truck for a bar, accentuating the Punjabi Dhaba feel.
The bride’s lounge was full of florals with quirky wedding insignia. Aisha Sayed and band made the guests dance on latest Bollywood numbers after which DJ’s Imti a and Vikram Nathwani played till wee hours of the morning.
The next day, a Pool Party took place at Lagoon, Aamby Valley City. A romantic ‘Paris meets Old Bombay’ theme was the concept of the day. The colours used were Butter Mint, Rose Pink, Blush and Eggshell White, all from the French Palate. Additionally colours like Rani Pink, Bright Yellow, Red, Turquoise Blue, Mehendi Green were used.
The decor featured floral printed fabric, quirky colourful cushion covers, a train bogey for the DJ’s console, bird cages with pastel flowers.
Beautifully crafted paper flower balls, wheelbarrows, urns with green hydrangeas, a wooden ladder, a wine cask, a vintage cycle, paper lanterns, embroidery rings with delicate lace fabric, colourful cutting chai glasses took the theme to an entirely new level!
The couple made a grand entry on the boat while Percussionist Jonqui, DJs Imti and Vikram Nathwani entertained the guests. A Parrot fortune teller and caricature artist were some of the other engaging elements seen at the Pool Party. Guests were seen playing a range of water sports while the highlight of the celebration remained the aqua bus that took the guests along the hills of Aamby Valley City and the beautiful lake!
Watch out this space for the rest of the celebrations !
