Unlike traditional cakes that are kept on a table, Chandelier Cakes are hung upside down just like a chandelier! Such cakes may have multiple tiers just like the usual wedding cakes.

Currently one of the most popular cake concepts in international markets, Chandelier Cakes have now made way to India! Thanks to D Cake Creations, who designed their first Chandelier Cake for Mirik Gogri’s wedding reception in Mumbai. 

Hanging a cake like a chandelier is not exactly a cake walk. Truly a structural delight, a chandelier cake has to be held together by a wrought iron stand to sustain its weight. Ofcourse the stand can be beautified with florals or other decor elements depending on the colour and concept of the cake.

Check out these upside down hanging cakes so beautifully decorated with Sugar Flowers and Silver Studded Ribbons, Studs and Crystals. The Sugar Flower arrangements included Roses, Valley of Lily, Blossoms, Peonies and Orchids...ALL edible!

Rinku Amit Gokarn, Director, D Cake Creations explains how she designed her first chandelier cake. She said, "The bride to be, had seen a picture of  chandelier cake produced by an international artist and approached D Cake Creations in an attempt to have something similar designed."

She also said, "It was a great opportunity and worth all the efforts that went into making probably the first Chandelier cake in Mumbai! However, what counts the most is finally the taste! Our cakes are baked from scratch including the fondant that is used. We always use high quality ingredients and colours while presenting our creations.'
