Renault globally launches the Kwid in Chennai

With an illustrious history of 115 years, Renault launched the Kwid, which has set new benchmarks on the inside. Encompass was appointed to manage the car’s global launch, held on May 20 at ITC Chola in Chennai (where the Renault India Plant is set up).
The launch had a 360-degree screen around the hall displaying some spectacular audio visuals. The arena, with a seating capacity of 250, was brimful with media, comprising international editors and journalists flying in from across Europe. For the first time ever, Renault received 22 million hits on its live web stream.
Carlos Ghosn (Chairman & CEO, Renault-Nissan Alliance) himself revealed the car on stage. He was accompanied by Laurens van den Acker (Senior Vice President - Corporate Design, Renault) and Sumit Sawhney (Country CEO & Managing Director, Renault India Operations) for providing intricate details about the vehicle through interactive presentations.
Speaking about the event, Zarav Martin, Assistant Vice President, Encompass, said: “From engaging with key global journalists to interacting with their key suppliers, Renault went the extra mile to make its presence felt in the automobile world and a global media space. Encompass put in over two months of efforts in planning and executing the creative and conceptual timbre, combining the global brand outlook with technological execution. Indeed, it was a challenge efficaciously executed.”
Managed by Encompass, the press reveal had international editors and journalists flying in from across Europe to cover the launch.
