This destination wedding was executed at Le Meridien and Leela Heritage Retreat, Jaipur by Indian Wedding Planners for a Patna based client. Accommodation for the guests of both the families was organized at the hotel.
A warm welcome was organized for the guests at the Airport, railway Station and Hotel with traditional Rajasthani ‘lawazama’ standing in a row with the logo of the bride and groom and folk performers.
Guest were handed personalized hotel keys with the picture of the bride and groom.
A Carnival themed Mehendi held in Aravali Lawns of the hotel incorporated a decorated rickshaw for the bride entry.
Popular folk performers from Jaisalmer, ‘Kullad Chai’ from Ajmer and games like kite flying, balloon shooting, darts etc were also organized.
A lot of marigold was used in the decor.
The same evening a Sangeet was hosted at Amer Lawns of the hotel and featured an LED concept with hot pink lighting. There was a stage made up of LED panels with wooden box props which were filled up with orchids and kite paper. Gazebos were created for the guest sitting with long crystal chandeliers. Performances by Jimmy Felix and band, and Divine Affirmation kept the guests engaged. Following, power packed performances by Delhi based dance troupe, Dance Smith took place. The event was hosted by Anchor Sheena Chohan.
The Wedding was held at the beautiful Leela Heritage Retreat. The ‘Pheras’ took place in the amphitheater. Four traditional dancers performed in the alcoves. The ‘Vedi’ was made in the centre of the venue with dome on top beautified by exotic flowers. Pyrotechnics and aerial acts took place while the ‘Varmala’ took place.
Anant Khandelwal, Partner, Indian Wedding Planners explains, “The bride wanted something different than is seen in stage décor. She wanted no structures as the venue was naturally very stunning!”
The agency used large dry trees painted in white as the backdrop with cotton and white dry flowers emulating snow and the cold days of winter. The same was used on the sides of the aisle on which the bride walked in to the venue.
