Chandigarh Tourism Percept Sports and Entertainment
In order to foster innovative and meaningful growth of the adventure travel/tourism industry, Chandigarh Tourism in association with Percept Sports & Entertainment (PS&E) organized a five-day adventure carnival called ‘AdventureGarh’ from April 22 to 26 at the Exhibition Ground in Chandigarh.
A confluence of adventure sports, musical evenings, cultural performances, daily public competitions, and delectable cuisines, AdventureGarh was an initiative of Chandigarh Tourism to boost tourism to the city. PS&E was responsible for the conceptualization and execution of the entire integrated marketing initiative spanning five days. Marketing for the initiative was undertaken across multiple platforms including print, social media, OOH, on-ground and mobile activation in the tri-city area of Chandigarh, Mohali and Panchkula as well as the Delhi NCR region.
The event attracted thousands of adventure enthusiasts as it offered the perfect mix of extreme fun and entertainment activities. Bungee Jumping from a height of 150 ft, hot air balloon rides to a height of 200 ft, ATV dirt track, cage rides, human zorbing, an inflatable rock wall and more were organized for visitors to dive carefree into an exhilarating world of sports and adventure. PS&E ensured that all these activities involved no risk whatsoever and the public experienced absolute safety and uninterrupted thrill.
PS&E was also responsible for managing round-the-clock engagement and entertainment of the public while they waited for their turn to take rides at the carnival. Many famous music artists performed at the carnival including Satinder Sartaaj, Susmit Sen Chronicles, Jasleen Royal and Amrinder Bobby. The daily entertainment capsule also presented a diversity of traditional cultural flavors spanning Bhangra, Gatka, Siddhi Dhamal, Luddi, Jindua and Jhumar performances. The food stalls offered a wide range of popular cuisines to cater to the crowds.
Speaking about the event, Sanjay Shukla, Chief Operating Officer, Percept One said: “Adventure means business, and AdventureGarh will surely make a difference in the world of adventure tourism for Chandigarh. It took exceptional planning, detailing, supervision, and ideation to create and execute such a massive adventure zone, but the overwhelming response received from the teeming crowds surely proved our success in achieving the objective for Chandigarh Tourism.”
