Godrej Securities recently hosted a 3-day annual conference at the Orchid & VITS Hotels in Pune. The conference was attended by almost 350 senior managers and employees, from across India. Winning the multi-agency pitch, A for Pineapple Ideas & Executions (AFP), conceptualized and executed the entire event from scratch.
The event is held to analyze and reward performances and achievements in the past year and set targets for the year ahead. What made this year special, was the launch of some exciting new products. The theme for the year was ‘Step Up & Stand Out’ which was interwoven seamlessly throughout the entire event.
The first day started with guests checking in and after some leisure and lunch time, the conference began. The evening was well thought out to ensure it was light on the activities, for guests to have a relaxed time. They played a vivacious session of Housie, while watching the IPL match which was streamed live for them, after which there was the dinner and a DJ set.
The second day began with an intense conferencing session. Godrej wanted to reveal the theme ‘Step up & Stand Out’ in a way that was unique and impactful. So, AFP conceptualized and produced an exclusive ‘laser story’ to reveal the theme, which was played in the evening. The dazzling graphics left the audience wowed and stunned. The awards were interlaced with stunning and energetic performances, where international contortionists and dancers were especially flown down for the event.
Also, the international aerial silk act mesmerized everyone and Hanu Dixit Unplugged made for an unforgettable time. For the gala night, the theme ‘Sholay’ was finalized and props for iconic characters like Gabbar, Basanti, Heera, Jailer, Kalia and Thakur were provided for everyone, making the evening look like it was straight out of a Bollywood movie set.
The third day was the highlight of the conference since Godrej revealed its new and advanced Safe, weighing almost 1500 kgs. They did a live demo to demonstrate the safety and mechanism, wherein a thief tried to break into the safe, a loud alarm went off, coupled with thick smoke to deter the thief. The launch was commemorated with a huge applause.
Commenting on the setup, Annu Anand, Chief Catalyst & MD, A for Pineapple, said: “Being our first event with Godrej, it was a challenge to get into their minds and know their likes, dislikes and expectations. The whole execution was dynamic in nature with last minute changes, additions, etc. But, flexibility and innovation being our core strengths, we fulfilled every demand. We’re glad the whole event was flawless and impeccable.”
Adding further about managing the safe, Anand said: “It was a challenge for AFP to get this safe on stage without any mechanical device, the work could only start after the safe was placed at the right spot for the launch. Navganies who are specialist in moving heavy weight without any machinery were engaged to move these heavy items. The safe was brought in an acrylic chamber.”
