Ghanta Awards holds 5 shows in its 5th edition

The 5th Annual Ghanta Awards is all set to tickle your funny bone again. After a sold out show at JW Marriott in Mumbai on March 8, there will be another one at St. Andrew’s Auditorium in Mumbai on April 4. The show was also held in Kochi on Feb. 22, New Delhi and Gurgaon on Feb. 26 and 27 respectively.

The awards show, now in its 5th consecutive year, is held to appreciate and acknowledge the ‘lesser than good stuff in Bollywood’. A property of INvision Entertainment and hosted by East India Comedy, it has etched the 'wall of shame' with Bollywood's popular as well as not so celebrated names.

The live show is fuelled by online voting by the audience. A panel of witty and distinguished judges along with the exciting online voting system recognizes the worst of Bollywood every year. The audience gets to vote 14 categories, representing the worst of Bollywood, including Worst Actor, Worst Film, Worst Director, Wtf Was That, Most Controversial Controversy and many more. Online voting goes on till the eve of the grand night.

Commenting on the property, Gagan Takyar, Director, INvision Entertainment said: “It is indeed our pleasure to host the fifth season of the Ghanta Awards. As a property, we have evolved over the years in terms of our offering to the crème de la creme of the city. In Season 5, we are stepping up to showcase the superlatives in creativity showing 'the worst of the worst' of Bollywood.”

Held in association with Pepsi MTV Indies, the event’s radio partner is Red FM, web partner is Bollywood Now, community partner is EVENTFAQS and outdoor media partner is Laqshya.

Lead by comedian Sorabh Pant, East India Comedy comprises Sapan Verma, Sahil Shah and Kunal Rao. This year they're making it even bigger by taking the show to five cities as well as the US and UAE that amasses a huge Bollywood fan following.

The annual property by INvision Entertainment is hosted by East India Comedy, which comprises Sorabh Pant, Sapan Verma and others.
