Sandeep Verma has been appointed as Director – Operations, The Claridges, New Delhi. A career spanning over 18 years across the hospitality space, Verma will assist the leadership team in achieving the goals and objectives of the group and ensuring brand standards are maintained. He has a plethora of experience in the fields of training, process management, financial planning, strategy and operations excellence.
In his current role he will be responsible for identifying key drivers in achieving business success, using his expertise to create and manage a business environment that consistently delivers positive results. An alumni of Welcomgroup Graduate School of Hotel Administration, he has previously worked with The Taj Hotels, Jet Airways, IndiGo and The Park Hotels. In his recent assignment Verma was Senior General Manager, In-flight Services, SpiceJet.
The Claridges Hotel Group headquartered in New Delhi, owns and operates luxury hotels and resorts in North India. The group currently operates two hotels in New Delhi and Mussoorie respectively with the third property being under development. The properties owned and operated by the group are The Claridges, New Delhi and The Claridges Nabha Residence, Mussoorie.
The flagship property of the group - The Claridges New Delhi was built in 1955 and is located at the heart of the eminent New Delhi Lutyens area. With a seamless blend of old-world charm and a modern elegant approach to guest care and hospitality, the property consists of 128 rooms and 12 exquisite suites along with five signature options for food & beverages. The hotel also has an executive lounge, The Viceregal and The Senate for business events and the grand Maharani hall for corporate meetings, conferences and social get-togethers.
