The EFFIEs, a property of The Advertising Club (TAC), is one of the most coveted trophies in the advertising & marketing fraternity. To win, participants must not only demonstrate a high order of competence in the processes that lead to the creative work, but also a proven, documented, verifiable roster of results.
From a modest beginning of 53 entries in 2001, TAC Bombay has now achieved 465 entries across all categories. Fountainhead Entertainment has been working with TAC for almost a decade and was hence appointed to manage the award ceremony at Taj Lands End in Mumbai. The property, for this edition, was presented by Colors and had on board category sponsors Vodafone and Aditya Birla Group.
The stars of the night were HUL, which bagged the ‘Client of the Year’ and Oglivy & Mather which was awarded ‘Agency of the Year’. All in all, the event was a fun and exhilarating evening with beautiful and talented individuals from across the advertising industry.
Speaking about the property, Bipin Pandit, COO, The Advertising Club, said: “The EFFIEs is undoubtedly the biggest advertising show of the country. In 14 years it has come to establish itself as the most defining award of the advertising industry. A gathering of more than 1300 advertising, marketing and media professionals explains why it is truly the night of the industry. It can only get bigger from here and surely the industry has more excitement in store for the future.”
Commenting on the event, Rohan Salvi, Vice President - Business Development and Client Servicing (Events), Fountainhead Entertainment, said: “We execute the entire event right from fabrication of sets to show run. Delivering something different every year is one of the challenges we deal with annually.”
Organized by The Advertising Club, the award ceremony was managed by Fountainhead at Taj Lands End in Mumbai.
