Continuing its 7th anniversary celebrations, Viacom18 organized its Delhi party in true ‘Dilli style’ recently. Bearing in mind the scale and impact of the previous event, Brandwidth Events, who also helped execute the Mumbai party, was roped in to give the employees a perfect Delhi winter party.
Breaking away from the usual venue and event setup regime, Brandwidth decided to opt for a more intimate setting where the Delhi’s distinct weather could be enjoyed in a beautiful setting. FIO, a quaint venue, tucked away in the beautiful Garden of Five Senses served as the perfect venue to host the Dilli-style party. A cobbled pathway decorated by tea-lights, guided the guests to the venue. The cool Delhi temperature was well complemented by the sigris and bonfire arrangements made especially for the evening.
Commenting on the event, Aditya Sibal, Account Director, Brandwidth Events said, “The brief was simple. We had to host Viacom18’s Dilliwale and give them a night to remember. This was the first time the Delhi employees were getting their own exclusive party with the Leadership Team flying in to share the joy. So not only did it need to be perfect, it needed to be unique.”
Adding further, Sibal said, “Our biggest challenge was to recreate the feeling of having a private concert in a space like FIO. Given the fact that FIO is a restaurant, we had to work around the pre-existing setup and make sure that the appeal of the restaurant was retained, as we went about giving it our slight face lift.”
While the ambience lent itself aptly to the theme of the party, the entertainment played an integral role in taking the party to a whole new level. The evening comprised an inspirational address by the CEO, followed by an intriguing comedy act by Papa CJ, who left the audience in splits with his personalised jibes on each of the senior management members. The mood of the evening was slowly steered to a more romantic setting by the legendary sufi singer Harshdeep Kaur and her co-singer Ash King through their soulful renditions. As the evening progressed, the enthralled crowd also joined in to sing along with the duo. An impromptu 2-minute performance was delivered by Viacom18’s very own in-house rapper Jagjit Singh.
As the evening headed for a close, the mist setting in on the venue along with the lingering bonfire made for the perfect ending to the evening.
