SulaFest is back for its 8th edition with a heady mix of music, wine, food, fashion and much more at the serene Sula Vineyards and its Greek-style open air amphitheater. After last year’s sold out festival with over 10,000 fest-goers, the eagerly awaited gourmet world music festival by Sula Vineyards will take place on Feb. 7-8 at Nashik.
Produced by Mixtape, the event is presented by Vero Moda and in association with Vh1, music partner blueFROG, online ticketing partner Bookmyshow.com, newspaper partner Mid-Day, radio partner Red FM, outdoor partner Gledo, blogging partner Miss Malini, camping partners Letscampout.com and Express Inn.
Vero Moda will be launching its Spring Summer Collection 2015 at the fest - an additional treat this year is a fashion show by the brand, with plenty of surprises in store. SulaFest will benefit locally-based and national NGOs like iMAD, Sharan, and Prabodhini amongst others. This aligns with Sula’s long-standing commitment to give back to the communities and causes in need.
Returning as presenting sponsor, Vineet Gautam, Country Head, Vero Moda said: “Vero Moda has always catered to the sensibilities of fashionable women and we’ve been constantly looking at interesting ways of engaging with this audience. Today, style is not just about outfits, it’s a lifestyle. Our association with SulaFest is a perfect testimony to us acknowledging this trend. Also, the wine, music, art and colors bring alive our Spring Summer collection in a very captivating setting.”
This year’s artist line-up befits a true ‘World Music Festival’ with the freshest acts - as always a mix of nationwide and internationally celebrated artists - from USA, UK, France, Italy, Spain, Germany, Russia, Portugal and more. Genres like electronica, techno, dubstep, rock, blues, indie, hip-hop, rnb, folk, fusion, reggae and more will be played by artists and bands like Young The Giant, Nucleya, Lucky Ali, Swarathma, Kefaya, Will And The People, Gentleman’s Dub Club, Sashanti, Baba Robijn and others.
Speaking about the association with the fest, Jehan Johar, Head of Music Programming, blueFROG said: “We are proud to stand along with Sula and announce this diverse and power packed line-up of amazing bands. Over the past few years, we've strived to bring amazing international and Indian talent to the Sula stage, and this year we feel we have surpassed all expectations and we are very happy to announce the most unique live music line-up of the year. SulaFest 2015 - here we go!”
Spicing up the weekend will be the SulaFest Bazaar with a selection of fun items for sale. Foot massages, tarot reading, personality tests, grape stomping, tattoos, nail art, photo huts, spin-the-wheel, paintings, power hammer, air hockey and a mechanized bull are the other activities that are sure to add to that fest-feel. The popular Tasting Room and the new rustic Tasting Cellar will have special tours and tastings to be given to wine enthusiasts.
Apart from wines from the vineyards of Sula, fest-goers can also enjoy a wide selection of libations from around the world by Sula’s import arm Sula Selections. For those who don’t drink wine can enjoy other drinks with partners Jack Daniel’s, Budweiser, Cointreau, Hardys, Asahi, Grant’s, Sierra Tequila, Stolichnaya and Urzza.
The likes of Café Zoe, Woodside Inn, Maroosh and Busago will serve up great food to go with the wine. At the recently launched Soleil by La Plage, Chef Morgan has prepared a menu with organic produce from Sula’s very own farms, offering a sit-down gourmet dining experience for the first time.
With the success of last year’s Tent City, where attendees could camp out amidst the vineyards, the size has been doubled this time. Those who don’t wish to camp can choose from nearby hotels like Taj, Ibis, Ginger and Express Inn among many others.
Commenting on the fest, Cecilia Oldne, Global Brand Ambassador, Sula Vineyards said: “I remember our first ever SulaFest in 2008 with 300 fest-goers. We have come a long way since! It’s exciting to be part of this one-of-a-kind event that delivers the highest quality in music and experience - keeping the audience in mind. Look forward to seeing you at the vineyards!"
Attendees can expect a heady mix of music, wine, food and much more at the Sula Vineyards open air amphitheater in Nashik.
