CEAT has a capacity of over 700 tons per day and offers a wide range of tyres and radials to all motor segments like trucks, buses, tractors, trailers, cars, motorcycles, etc. The brand recently set up a tyre plant in Butibori, Nagpur and had a ceremony for the same, executed by Fountainhead Entertainment (FH).

FH’s role was to handle the entire event - production, logistics, artists, F&B, security, etc. The setup which consisted of a hanger, divided into a main stage and F&B area, accommodated about 350 guests. A helipad was specially created for the CM’s chopper to land near the venue - the required protocols and permissions were also acquired for the same.

In an event organized to commemorate the foundation stone laying ceremony of the new CEAT plant, the Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Devendra Fadnavis, was invited to do the same. Also attending the event were Tom Thomas, Executive Director, CEAT; Bhushan Gangrani, CEO, MIDC; State Minister Praveen Patil, Secretary Government of Maharashtra Swadhin Kshatriya, Principal Secretary of Industries Apurva Chandra and Cabinet Ministers Mr. Desai and Mr. Kadam.

After the lighting of the auspicious lamp and a ‘Ganesh Vandan’, the foundation stone was unveiled by Fadnavis, who gave a speech, followed by more speeches by the other ministers and the event concluded with a vote of thanks by Anant Goenka, MD, CEAT.

Commenting on the event, Shashank Golani, Senior Brand Manager, CEAT Limited, said: “Any event where you have the Honourable CM of Maharashtra as the chief guest, has to be seamless. FH did an excellent job in doing that and that too in a short span of 10 days flat. It was one of the most important events for CEAT and FH ensured that they met this expectation with their impeccable execution.”

The plant will be set up in three phases. In the first phase (2014- 2016), Rs. 400 crore will be invested. The completion of the phase one of the plant and the first tyre rollout from the plant is anticipated by April 2016. This state-of-the-art tyre plant will be spread across 60 acres of land and is expected to manufacture 1.2 million tyres.
