The Leela Goa Sunset Getaways

This Youngsters gala, spread over a long weekend last year at The Leela, Goa, included an elegant sit-down dinner with speeches, a rain dance and the most interesting finale - a 'Classy V/s Trashy' Dinner.

Speaking of the unique concepts designed for the celebrations, Devika Narain explained, "I find most Goa parties look the same-- bright colors, masks and LED Lights. However, the couple sought out to do something different and fun."

Flowers and rentals were amongt the responsibilities of Sunset Getaways, while Photography was handled by famed photographer, Anam Karimi. Catering was taken care of by the hotel.

THE SIT- DOWN DINNER

Although a classic black and white combination was used for the first sit-down dinner, a twist with fairy lights and helium balloons that covered the entire ceiling, gave the event a unique look and feel.

Lots of fun details were added such as 'his and her' cupcakes for place settings, waiting staff that wore top hats and white gloves and various fun props around the photo booth.

THE RAIN DANCE

The rain dance was a riot of colour, neon was the theme of the day with bright coloured table covers and cushions made of PVC. The flowers were minimal with lemons, roses and hydrangeas. Water guns and water balloons were strewn around the dance floor and an epic Girls v/s Boys match took place.

THE CLASSY v/s TRASHY DINNER

Keeping in sync with the theme of the finale dinner, 'Come classy, leave trashy!', guests came elegantly dressed and fun boas, hats and glasses were left around so they could leave looking trashy.

The entire ballroom was divided into trashy and classy sections. Half the tables were done up with beautiful linen in off white and gold with elegant centerpieces and candles. The other half had red table covers with feather centerpieces, candles and large feather boas strewn all over the table.

Devika Narain executed the Youngster celebrations which included an elegant sit-down dinner with speeches, a rain dance and the most interesting finale-- A 'Classy V/s Trashy' Dinner.
