The Economic Times Awards for Corporate Excellence 2014 concluded recently at The Trident in Mumbai. Attended by around 300 leaders of India, the event, a property of ET, was executed by Fountainhead Entertainment (FH).

Elaborating on the association with ET, Rohan Salvi, Vice President - Business Development & Client Servicing (Events), Fountainhead Entertainment, said: “Fountainhead has been associated with Economic Times for over a decade. We are closely involved with the brand in planning and executing their properties every year. We were briefed to take forward and maintain the stature of ET Awards from the previous years. Pertaining to the audience and taking into a consideration of it being a televised event, we developed a futuristic, yet elegant stage design.”

The event was hosted by director Karan Johar, who made a dramatic Bollywood-styled entry. Post the welcome address by Vineet Jain (MD, The Times Group), a high powered panel discussion was followed by award presentations. The panel was moderated by Bodhisatva Ganguli (Deputy Executive Editor, The Economic Times) and comprised Arun Jaitley (Finance Minister), Devendra Fadnavis (Maharashtra Chief Minister), Piyush Goyal (Minister of Power & Energy), Nirmala Sitharaman (Minister of State for Ministry of Commerce & Industry), Manohar Parrikar (Defence Minister), Ivan Menezes (CEO, Diageo India) and Y.C. Deveshwar (Chairman, ITC).

Explaining the setup, Salvi said: “We developed a grand, dynamic multiple layered set with three LED panels with futuristic visual content. Through the course of the ceremony, each award category was introduced through specially created 3D graphics projected on the panels. To provide further elegance to the overall look, we used the ultra slim K-Array Redline speakers.”

Commenting on the challenging aspect of the event, Salvi said: “We finished the entire setup with technical rehearsals with the eight-camera setup TV crew in less than 12 hours. The ET team was extremely happy with our planning and output.”

Organized by The Economic Times and executed by Fountainhead, the award ceremony saw nearly 300 leaders in India.
