On Dec. 12 in Mumbai, 750 superheroes hung their capes to enjoy a power-packed night of dance, music and a lot more as they came together to celebrate Viacom18’s 7th Anniversary. The unique party themed ‘Unstoppables’ was conceptualized and executed by Brandwidth Events.

The concept celebrated the 750 superheroes - the employees that make up Viacom18. Commenting on the theme, Abhinav Chopra, Executive Vice President and Head - Human Resources, Viacom18 said: “As we commemorate our 7th birthday, we also wanted to celebrate the synergies we draw across the organization. We encourage individualism to achieve a common larger goal. Our people contribute to making Viacom18 the fantastic workplace it is just as much as to its swift and solid growth. They are truly superheroes.”

In order to bring alive the theme and create buzz, Brandwidth devised an extensive on-ground and online campaign, put into action 10 days before the main event. To keep the employees hooked, exciting contests and trivia on superheroes were shared on Facebook. Each day, unique illustrated emailers were sent out to the employees to keep them curious about the upcoming event. A special app was created, using which employees could generate their personalised superhero logos. In the office, from washroom mirrors being converted to resemble comic strips to elevators that opened up to reveal the ‘Unstoppable’ bolt, every element lent itself to the main theme. On the day of the event, the invites for the party were hand delivered by promoters dressed as superheroes.

Commenting on the elaborate themed plan, Himanshu Anand, Director, Brandwidth Events, said: “Our aim was to bring alive the superhero theme at every touch point. Having generated so much curiosity in anticipation of the event, it was essential that we took the experience a notch higher through the elaborate sets and the power-packed activities we conduct at the main event.”

From the entry point itself, large telephone booths were set up to allow the employees to change into their superhero avatars. A red carpet entry and a welcome committee comprising superheroes escorted the employees into the venue. Large photo op installations were set up to allow employees to click their superhero pictures. To add to the mania, waiters dressed as ‘The Joker’ served up some interesting superhero concoctions.

The night’s entertainment included stand-up comics compering the show and live performances by some of the most energetic names in the circuit such as Badshah, Raftaar, Manj Musik, DJ Chetas and The Other People. Owing to the occasion, Viacom18 added a hue of emotion by honouring 29 of the organization’s stellar employees with special Long Service Awards.
