South Delhi's favorite hangout spot Select CITYWALK, has yet again a treat in store for its loyal visitors. The mall is decked up to welcome Christmas in its full splendor and promises a never before Christmassy experience. From bells to balloons, snowflakes to snowmans, greens to gifts, star lit ceilings to magnificent chandeliers and sparkling lights to the illuminated archways, CITYWALK has mastered the perfect ambience that the festival of Christmas deserves. The enthralling display of reindeers, candy sticks, Santa and much more transports the visitor to the North Pole.

 

Famed for their creative themed installations, for Christmas, the mall exhibits the city’s tallest Christmas tree stands with all its grandeur decked in baubles, bows, ribbons, bells and twinkling lights. From photo opportunities, to Santa's workshop to the Christmas Ball trimming, there are numerous activities for people of all age groups to participate in. The Air Piano, that is taking place from Dec.14 to Dec. 25, is another brilliant activity where CITYWALK gives you an opportunity to create your own christmas carols and explore your musical talent. The Bubble show, that will take place from Dec.22 to Dec.23 promises to take you back to your childhood with the spell bounding masterpieces of bubble artistry. Visitors can get clicked with Santa Claus and witness leading choirs like Deepalya, The Mozart Choir of India, First Victory Youth Choir, etc. that are performing between Dec.15 - Dec. 24.

 

Q Events was roped in to execute the Christmas themed decor. Speaking on their association with CITYWALK, Geeta Samuel, Director, Q Events, said: "Q Events has been involved in the execution of the Christmas decor of Select CITYWALK since its inauguration nearly eight years back. The ideation and conceptualization of the set starts at least 3-4 months in advance. The tree in the Central Atrium is the main focus and other elements are built around the tree. Sourcing from all over the India is done and this year our team was sent to China to source crystal, numerous other buntings and fiber elements, specific to this year’s decor. The production & manufacturing takes about 4-6 weeks and the set up takes about 10-12 days of mostly night work. Bigger and better are the buzz words each year."
