Myntra Fashion Weekend Vans The Palladium Hotel Brand Promotions

Shoe lovers looking for a little personal style or a splash of some unique colour palettes on their footwear went all gaga recently when Vans came up with a special Do-It-Yourself station at the Myntra Fashion Weekend, held at Palladium Hotel in Mumbai.  They associated with Brand Promotions to built a graffiti-filled Vans DIY station at the Fashion Weekend.

Participants could pick out their shoe size and unleash their creativity on it. The Do-It-Yourself station was stocked up with paints, permanent markers, brushes and everything one could need for creating a masterpiece out of classic white Vans. On completing the task, participants had to click and upload a picture of their shoes on their Instagram account using the hashtag ‘#vansdiy”.

Once this was done, the participants got to take home their personalized Vans shoes for free. Two graffiti artists were stationed at the venue to guide and encourage participants. The agenda of having this DIY station was to connect participants to Vans in an engaging graffiti activity and showcase it on Twitter and Instagram.

This was a three-day activity which was conducted over a weekend from October 3-5. The task given to the agency was to look after the entire activity flow which included building the DIY station, the three days of activity, the crew, paint materials, supply of shoes and other required materials.

Being a part of Myntra Fashion Weekend, the activity was attended by some of the most stylish people living in the city who had specially come down for the show. The Vans DIY station managed to attract as many as 200 people on all three days.

Commenting on this Karan Tandon, Marketing Manager, Vans India said, “Working with the Brand Promotion team was a very good experience, they understood the job at hand very well and chose the team well who interfaced with people at the Fashion weekend.”

Set up by Brand Promotions at the Myntra Fashion Weekend, this booth saw participants unleash their creativity on classic white Vans.
