Showtime to manage ICC World Cup 2011 launch event

Showtime has bagged the mandate to manage the launch event of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011. The launch event will be held in Mumbai.
The event, scheduled for July 14 at the Grand Hyatt, will see the unveiling if the identity of ICC Cricket World Cup 2011. The tournament is to be held in the Indian sub-continent (excluding Pakistan) in February-March. The launch will be attended by dignitaries from ICC and several international cricketing legends, assure organizers.
Michael Menezes, MD, Showtime Events, noted that the launch event would be attended by a number of cricketing legends.
He said, ;The event will witness a large number of international cricketing legends in attendance along with administrators from the cricketing world. The event is primarily to launch the identity; it will talk about the history of World Cup, and we will salute these legends.;
The 2011 ICC Cricket World Cup will be the tenth Cricket World Cup, and will be hosted by India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. The forthcoming edition will take place in February and March, 2011. The first match will be played on February 19, and the final will be hosted at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
