English-themed wedding by Wedding Acts
Wedding Acts managed and executed the wedding celebrations of a Singapore based client in Bali, Indonesia. The guests were hosted in Alila Villas Uluwatu, one of the leading luxury venues for social events and weddings in Bali. Wedding Acts collaborated with Bali based travel company, Nahdia Wisata Tours for all the transport in Bali.
The agency specializes in executing destination weddings outside of Singapore. Jonathan Goh, Director and Founder, Wedding Acts recently visited India to attend International Convention of Wedding Fraternity 2014. He mentioned that he sees potential in collaborating with Indian wedding planners to execute weddings in India for his clients, who desire to take their wedding outside of Singapore.
Guests that arrived on September 12 included close family members and friends of the bride and groom. After lunch, Goh along with his team conducted a rehearsal of the wedding ceremony with all the members that would be participating in the same.
On September 13, more guests arrived and checked into the hotel following which a Pre-Wedding Welcome Dinner was hosted for them at Sundara, Four Seasons, Jimbaran, an exotic open air venue which sees a breathtaking sunset. After dinner, the guests retired in their respective villas.
On September 14, the wedding ceremony took place at 5.30 pm at the cabana at the hotel. The cabana stretches out to the cliff which allowed the guests to see a magnificent view. Premium wedding decoration agency fromJakarta, Nefi Décor was roped in for decor which was kept very English and Victorian using only pinks, whites and crystals. A gradient rose petal walkway instead of the normal carpet at Christian weddings was a refreshing change. Pink and white roses were used in transparent vases and black bird cages, while hanging crystal drops hangings added some glitz. The dull gold chairs had floral tie bows on one side and a balinese sandalwood fan with a pink tassel was placed on each chair as a complimentary wedding favour from Wedding Acts. Even the welcome drink was a baby pink coloured one with a pink and white straw!
Explaining the idea behind conceptualizing the wedding, Goh said, “The brief from the clients was simple. They wanted to host an experience that was subtle and opulent.” He also mentioned that the venues for both the hotels provided a spectacular setting where, only elegant and sophisticated décor would accentuate the character of the venue.
The Wedding Sit Down Dinner took place in the 3 Bedroom Villa at the hotel. The long dinner table was complete with tall pink and white floral centrepieces, candles and exquisite crockery and cutlery. Beautiful tree branches painted white, adorned with pink and white roses and crystal drops hung from the ceiling. Only white fabric was used in drapes. After the sunset, the lights installed on the ceiling looked magical. Large lanterns were placed on both the sides of the walkway to the dinner table. The tall white wedding cake with pink roses, dished out by Alila Villas Uluwatu emulated the venue’s décor perfectly. With the perfect audio, visuals and lighting from Virturso Productions, Bali and a great mix of music from DJ Rob of ‘Wedding DJ In Bali’, the couple enjoyed a romantic dance under the moonlight which ended with splendid fireworks.
The invitation cards and wedding stationery was created by The Card Room, Singapore. The photography for both the events was handled by Photo Factory, Bali while the videography was done by Benjo Hilario Films, Phillipines. Catering for both the events was handled by the respective resorts.
The agency’s responsibilities included planning, management, hospitality and execution.
