Rural marketing agency Impact Communications has bagged the advertising rights for Sonepur Mela 2014. Sonepur Mela the largest cattle fair of Asia attracts over 5 million rural visitors that begins on November 4. The Department of tourism, Govt of Bihar, awarded the rights to the agency in a two stage bid process.

This is the second time that the agency has won the rights for creating marketing opportunities for participating brands in Sonepur Mela. The agency will conceptualize on-ground activities and OOH innovations for participating brands.

Besides various regional companies, over 50 leading MNC and national FMCG, Auto, Agri and durable brands participate every year in Sonepur mela.  This year, brands such as Ceat Tyres ,GSK , Crompton Greaves , Union Bank Money Transfer , Johnson and Johnson are already on board.

Impact communication has been entrusted with recreating opportunities in the space of visibility, trials, product launches, awareness, engagement and sales based on brand objectives. The agency will earn ad revenue by selling exhibition space, gantries, entry gates, parking lots, signage, Hoarding, Kiosks, mobile vans, LED displays and balloons.

This year, Sonepur Mela is all set to witness better decor, ambiance and heightened engagement quotient. Moreover Department Of Tourism has introduced a handicraft village within the mela premises to promote the handicrafts and attract more footfalls.

It will be an action packed 30 days long affair having cultural, entertainment and shopping activities. To handle all the marketing on such a large scale, Impact has a team of 40 members comprising of planning and client servicing personnel followed an operations team based out of Sonepur.

Impact Communications has also earlier won marketing rights for various Melas across country including Hardiwar, Allahabad & Ujjain Kumbh Melas.

 

 

The agency will conceptualize on-ground activities and OOH innovations for over 50 participating brands.
