A unique theme was designed for each ceremony. The mehendi ceremony had a very Indian traditional feel to it and varied hues of pink, yellow, green and orange were incorporated in the décor. The sangeet and reception were centered on an international theme and the décor was kept sophisticated and classy, using minimal colours, a lot of florals and intelligent lighting. The Burj Al Arab was at the backdrop of the beautiful ceremony. There were performances by Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and Vishal & Shekhar. An array of international artists performed and entertained the guests during the various ceremonies. Wedniksha recently won the EEMAX Silver award under the Best Destination Wedding category for managing and executing this wedding.
The Wedniksha team is spearheaded by Farid Khan and Bhavnesh Sawhney. Khan, having worked with Wizcraft for over 14 years has hands on experience with organizing various events, while Sawhney has been an extremely successful entrepreneur in various fields. With a team that has a rich experience in wedding planning, both in India and internationally, Wedniksha has already managed some highly reputed Indian weddings.
Speaking about the planning stages, Farid Khan explained: "Apart from the traditional customs and proceedings, keeping our philosophy of making weddings unique in mind, we customized everything as per the client's taste. It took months of planning and frequent travels between Dubai and India to put the whole wedding event together. The R.S.V.P of the guests started three months prior to the wedding with one of our team members being stationed in Dubai for that period of time."
Bhavnesh Sawhney also added: "Utmost care was taken of family, friends and guests attending the wedding. Hospitality for the guests from the rooming to the arrivals and departures of guests and logistics was all taken care of without a glitch. The event, décor and production and hospitality services were flawlessly executed by a dedicated team of 40."
