TSA manage HRAWI's 60th anniversary celebrations

Hotel and Restaurants Association of Western India (HRAWI) celebrated its 60 years of existence on August 12, at Trident Hotel in Mumbai. The event marked a grand opening with National Anthem followed by lighting of a traditional lamp by the dignitaries which included Maharashtra CM, Shri Ashok Chavan and Dy. CM, Shri Chhagan Bhujbal.
Bhujbal took the opportunity to request HRAWI and others to take an initiative towards the betterment of the country and help the government promote Indian tourism, while Chavan spoke about having a meeting with HRAWI to find solutions for promoting tourism in a way, which will mark new celebration of the year 2011-12 as a year of tourism.
"The mandate was to organise the diamond jubilee celebrations of HRAWI. There was a series of small regional events held at Indore, Ahmedabad, Pune , Silvassa and Goa to celebrate the jubilee. But these were on a very small scale and managed internally," informed, Nigel Fernandes, Business Development Executive, TSA Promotions and Events.
The event also served as a huge platform for Incredible India to promote tourism in Madhya Pradesh. MD of MP Tourism, Hari Ranjan Rao made a presentation on exotic locations of Madhya Pradesh, and talked about it as a potential prime market for tourism industry.
Three business sessions followed the main event, discussing industry of tourism, hotel, hospitality and food. HRAWI also used this occasion to felicitate and recognize the huge contribution of the association members, by presenting the awards and mementos to them. A group dance performance on ‘Mera India' and also by the ‘Meet brother's' followed the discussions.
The event was held at Trident Hotel, Mumbai on August 12.
