To mark the beginning of Diwali, Star Plus put together a special showcase - ‘Star Diwali: Thodi Si Muskan, Dher Sara Pyar' last month at Reliance Studio. Cineyug Worldwide conceptualized, managed, executed, scripted, directed and produced the show which saw about 100 attendees. There were performances by TV celebrities and the surprise element in the show was Bollywood actor Sonakshi Sinha who danced to the tunes of her latest movie ‘Bullet Raja.'
The affair was hosted by Karan Tacker and Aniruddh Dave who entertained viewers with their wit and humour. Giving them company as co-host was Deepika Singh. The show comprised 18 acts by TV actors namely Anas Rashid, Karan Mehra, Mouni Roy, Sanjeeda Sheikh, Bharti Singh, Shaleen Bhanot, Vishal Singh, Nakuul Mehta, Ishita Dutta, Rahul Sharma, Debina Bonnerjee, Gurmeet Choudhary, Kanchi Kaul, Mukti Mohan and Tushar Kalia.
The evening began with a Maha Ganesha Aarti followed by a diya act, Chhat Puja act, Shiv Parvati act, an act on an ode to a girl child, a comedy act, Durga Mata act, a fire act and a dance performance by a troupe which performed with LED costumes.
Speaking about the event, Mohomed Morani, MD, Cineyug said: "We were given a brief to do a special Diwali show involving the Star Parivaar. All acts were conceptualized to make sure all Star Plus viewers enjoy the special show with various forms of lights and festival celebrations. We had a beautiful set with huge samay, dhol, LED (to sync graphics for each act), large chandeliers and the backdrop of a mahal. We had a group of 40 dancers on the show, elaborate costumes, hand props, entry props, etc."
Adding further, Morani said: "We had to do 18 performances in a day plus the script to bind the show, which was a massive task. Also, it was a live show for the audience present at the studio. Proper planning and experience helped us in conducting a smooth show."
Cineyug Worldwide executed the show which saw 18 acts by various TV actors.
