SPT Sports managed the fourth Assam State Premier Football League, which kicked off on March 6 at the Nehru Stadium in Guwahati, Assam. The matches are being held across multiple venues in Guwahati and Diphu, Assam, and will culminate on March 20.
Commenting on the objective of the event, Kanishka Saran, Vice President, SPT Sports said: "We are committed towards the development of football at the grass root level across India. Such local events provide an ideal platform for young aspiring starts to show off their skills. We have worked closely with the Assam Football Association in bringing together the partners to make this a success."
In the fourth edition, the property has expanded its venues by taking it to Diphu too. The tournament has the state's top 10 teams competing in a round robin format. The top two teams will face off in the finals on March 20 to decide the state champion.
State Bank of India has associated with the property as the presenting sponsor, as it considers the football tournament another expression of its commitment to promoting sports in India. The winners of the championship will receive cash prizes and individual awards. The event is being promoted through advertorials in print media like the Assam Tribune and others.
