Renaissance Mumbai Convention Centre Hotel launches RLife LIVE

Renaissance Mumbai Convention Centre Hotel launched its new entertainment property RLife LIVE, at its hotel premises on Jan. 12 in order to provide its customers and local patrons an exclusive musical, art and culinary experience. The property will give the music aficionados an opportunity to engage live with music maestros as well as emerging artists. INvision Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. was appointed to manage the launch event.
Commenting on the initiation of the property, Hemant Tenneti, Director of Food & Beverage, Renaissance Mumbai Hotel and Convention Centre said: " RLife LIVE is Renaissance Hotels' exclusive entertainment program, dedicated to providing its hotel guests and local patrons an up close and personal look into music, culinary, arts, design and more. Renaissance has created these experiences, with events ranging from intimate acoustic performances, to listening parties, to pre- and post-concert events and meets and greets that go beyond just a quick photo or autograph signing. Renaissance Mumbai Convention Centre Hotel is introducing RLife LIVE in India to offer the guests and citizens of Powai and adjacent area, a chance to have a good time on weekends. We aim to change the nightlife/ entertainment scene of Powai with the introduction of RLife LIVE."
The venue set up consisted of a stage, bar, a branding wall and other such elements that created branding opportunities at various touch points. The first launch performance was marked with the ‘The Raghu Dixit Project' stamp where Raghu Dixit along with sitarist Azad Khan and saxophonist Ryan enthralled the audience. Also present at the event were noted celebrities from the music industry namely Leslie Lewis, Shruti Pathak, Shilpa Rao, Hariharan and Pankhi Dutta. INvision entertainment is handling the artist management and co-ordination for the property in conjunction with Mango People.
Speaking about the association with INvision Entertainment for this project, Tenneti said: "INvision has been working with the Marriott in Mumbai for a few years now and have successfully executed events both at JW Marriott Mumbai and Renaissance Mumbai Convention Centre Hotel. Their understanding of the entire concept and the direction required is in line with what we need, hence the choice of selecting INvision"
INvision Entertainment catered to all the event needs and made sure that launch was executed in a smooth fashion. Speaking about executing the event and future upcoming acts, Gagan Takyar, Director, INvision Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. said: "INvision has been working very closely with the hotel management on the launch for RLife LIVE for over 5 months now. The idea was to create an event which could go on week on week showcasing the best of live entertainment. Keeping this in mind we thought of The Raghu Dixit Project as the opening act."
INvision Entertainment focused primarily on artist selection for the month of January and February. Finalizing the artist line up was the initial stage of the planning process. This was then followed by managing décor and collateral designing, venue set up etc. This was done keeping in mind the guidelines that were set for RLife LIVE.
Giving us a sneak peek of what is yet to come was Takyar who said: "INvision Entertainment along with Mango People has planned an entire Saturday calendar for RLife LIVE which includes performances from artists of various genres. The idea is to not just to book the artist but to have a like - minded/ sounding musicians jam up and create magic for the audience at large. The line-up for the coming Saturdays varies from artists like The Bandish Projekt with Runa Rizvi and Shruti Pathak to Dhruv Sangari, Sourabh Pant, The East India Comedy, The Other People Band, Shilpa Rao etc. Along with the great food and beverage experience, I am sure this great line up of artist would make RLife LIVE Saturdays a treat for the patrons."
INvision Entertainment was roped in to manage the launch event along with artist co-ordination.
