Renaissance Hotel to organize RLife LIVE event with Shilpa Rao

The Renaissance Mumbai Convention Centre Hotel is all set to organize another event for its recently launched entertainment property, RLife LIVE, which will see Shilpa Rao performing on March 9 from 9 pm onwards. The event will take place as a tribute to women for Women's Day (March 8) and will be managed by INvision Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.


Commenting on the event, Gagan Takyar, Director, INvision Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. said: "In two months since its launch, RLife LIVE Saturdays have become very popular with the crowds who love live gigs and great food. Renaissance Mumbai is doing exactly that. They are really working hard to promote the live music scene in this part of town. As the world is celebrating Women's Week, we also thought of creating a Women's Day special this Saturday. The best person who came to our mind was a great friend, Shilpa Rao, who loved the idea and even got loads of musician friends excited about it. Looking at the lineup, it's clearly going to be the best gig in town for Women's Day."


The event, which expects to see about 150 to 200 people attend, is being promoted through various mediums such as Facebook pages, Twitter, radio contest and mentions, PR, flyer inserts, etc. It will start with an introduction on Shilpa Rao and will follow up with a performance which will see her jamming along with other artists such as Karsh Kale, Meiyang Chang, Apeksha Dandekar, Akriti Kakkar, Monali Thakur and Nandini Srikar.


Shedding some light on how Shipa Rao was brought in for the event, Shonette Brako, Senior Executive, INvision Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. said: "Shilpa Rao was initially invited for the launch event of RLife LIVE on Jan. 12. On witnessing the concept, she was very interested in performing on the platform. After discussing the concept in detail with her, it was suggested to Renaissance Hotel, and the concept of creating a Women's Day special was recommended."


Shilpa Rao also commented on her participation at the event by saying: "Along with Renaissance Hotel and INvision Entertainment, some of my friends and I will be celebrating Women's Day on March 9. The evening will be a tribute to women through the medium of music and entertainment. This is the first time I will be performing at Renaissance Hotel and really looking forward to the same. I have a close association with INvision Entertainment and I have had a great time working with them."


In terms of future plans, the Renaissance Hotel Mumbai aims to make this event larger over the next few months. In order to develop its brand image and spread awareness about it, they have currently adopted an integrated marketing approach to market RLife LIVE, which includes running contests on the radio, advertising in newspapers, running an online campaign, and reaching out to their Marriott database via emailers. Apart from that, ‘word of mouth' is helping it gain popularity as well.


Commenting on RLife LIVE's success and the response it has received so far, Kadambari Sabharwal Talwar, Director of Sales and Marketing, Renaissance Hotel Mumbai said: "The response for RLife LIVE has been really good and positive. North Mumbai doesn't have much to offer when it comes to live entertainment choices for the residents of Hiranandani and Powai, and RLife LIVE has changed that. We have seen a lot of walk-in guests from the nearby residences and they have all enjoyed and appreciated the various performances by the artists and the food and beverage offerings at the hotel. The hotel has also received feedback that the concept is fabulous and interesting. People seem to be appreciating the choice of entertainment option put forth."


The event will take place a day after Women’s Day and will be managed by INvision Entertainment Pvt. Ltd.
