Nokia India launches Lumia smartphones

Nokia India recently launched the full range of Nokia Lumia Windows Phone 8 devices - Nokia Lumia 920, 820 and 620. We MediaWorks executed the press launch on Jan. 10 at Taj Palace Hotel in Delhi. It was also webcast live in Mumbai and Bangalore. The event was attended by about 150 media personnel and bloggers in Delhi.
The demos stole the show with a 'hexa-copter' used to display 'Optical Image Stabilization' in a specially created dark room to show the low-light capabilities of the device. A record holding football freestyler performed to show the capabilities of the smartphone's lenses. A little girl was invited on stage to demonstrate the kid's corner feature seamlessly. To top the on-stage experiences, an additional demo area was created to let the maximum number of attendees to get their hands onto the latest offering from Nokia. A treadmill was placed on this demo to let people see for themselves the capabilities of the device when it comes to shooting videos while on the move.
Commenting on the launch, Vinay Kumar, Managing Partner, We MediaWorks said: "We won the pitch for the press launch basis the simple yet effective idea of making the device the hero. The plan was not to have too much fanfare in the form of a typical launch sequence, but to get the maximum number of people to experience the device and its capabilities through unique demos on stage. Nokia is one of our oldest and most special clients. Our relationship with team Nokia is based on the trust and passion that we share for the brand. We have executed and witnessed many great events for Nokia, but this one was really special and holds one of the top spots in the list."
