Nirmal Lifestyle launches the Care Foundation Day with GoBananas

The Care Foundation has been running with the objective of improving lives through aiding the less fortunate for over two decades now. An NGO that comes under the Nirmal Lifestyle property, Care Foundation has been working towards providing scholarships, free education and better health and hygiene to people across the country. Trustees Dharmesh Jain and Anju Jain, had been nurturing this institute, until the recent demise of Anju Jain.

Thus, the Nirmal Care Foundation Day was launched under its new philosophy ‘Anybody can Jump'. An elaborate event was designed and conceptualized by Gobananas at NCP Bhabha Auditorium on May 2. The agency has a range of clients in the real estate sector and has also been associated with MCHI-CREDAI (real estate body in Maharashtra) in the past. Nirmal Lifestyle thus got in touch with the agency to take up the execution responsibilities.

Speaking about the event, Nishit Shah, Director, GoBananas, said: "The most challenging aspect of the event was the fact that everything had to be customized around a one line brief of the theme - take the leap of faith and god will give you wings to fly. Since there was no template to celebrate such a cause, we knew that everything about the night had to be created from scratch. Everything in this evening had to have a cause related to it. The major challenge was curating the two-hour show in a way that wasn't loud and preachy. The thing that took the most time was deciding upon the nomenclature for the evening. ‘Anybody can Jump' came from the name of Anju Jain, and once we cracked this, it was heartily accepted as the new philosophy of the Care Foundation."

In the planning phase, GoBananas sent out invitations, e-mailers and reminders to all the invitees, all of which hinted at an undisclosed finale. Over 1000 people, including close associates and friends of the team, members of the fraternity, real estate developers and celebrities like Rajkumar Hirani were present at the main event, which was hosted by Kabir Bedi. Entertainment came by way of performances by Terrence Lewis and his troupe and sand art by Nitish Bharti.

In the finale, kids from ‘Dharavi Rocks' were brought on stage to perform on the theme of the night. The Raahie band compiled the foundation's new anthem, Udaan, which was also launched at the event. As of now, the initiative has taken to building one school, two playgrounds, two hospitals and one management college.

An event was held to unveil the new philosophy, Anybody can Jump, and new anthem, Udaan.
