Micromax to sponsor Asia Cup for the second year

Micromax Informatics Ltd. has entered into an agreement with Nimbus Sport for the title sponsorship of the Asia Cup 2012 for the second consecutive year. The cricket championship will now be called Micromax Asia Cup 2012.

Micromax Asia Cup 2012 will be hosted by Bangladesh this year and is scheduled to be held from March 11 to 23. The Asia Cup features the top four cricket teams of India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, playing for the title of Champions of Asia.

The television coverage of the entire series is being produced by Nimbus Sport and the broadcast TV partner in India will be Neo Cricket. The global broadcast partners for the event will be announced separately.

Commenting on the sponsorship, Yannick Colaco, COO, Nimbus Sport said: "Micromax is an exciting brand, close to the heart of the youth, and one which is a good match for the dynamic and vibrant nature of this event. As we come together once again to present an action packed cricket series of the year, we expect this event to be an exemplary celebration of sportsmanship."
