Fusion Events manages Raja Bhoj Enthronement Millennium Year Ceremony

The Cultural Ministry and the Cultural Directorate of Madhya Pradesh organised a ceremony on February 28 at the Lal Parade Ground in Bhopal to commemorate the millennium year of its founder, Raja Bhoj. Fusion Events, the events arm of the Purple Focus Group, was given the mandate to plan, implement and manage the event.

A Central Ceremony Committee was constituted for the Raja Bhoj Millennium year celebrations, headed by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. A grand ceremony was held to mark 1,000 years since Raja Bhoj's coronation and to establish the statue of founder of Bhopal Raja Bhoj at Upper Lake, VIP Road, Bhopal.

A biography of Raja Bhoj was presented in which his personality and works were presented through a laser show on a 100 by 30 ft. multicolor screen. The event was also celebrated with massive fireworks by world famous Amir Morani Fireworks, which were up to 400 ft in the sky and controlled by an electronic fire mechanism. The fireworks were coordinated with the Vande Mataram tune.

Play back singer Sukhvinder Singh performed at the ceremony and he specially dedicated the Jai Ho song to Raja Bhoj. Well known percussionist, Shivmani also performed on the occasion. Both Sukhvinder and Shivmani performed with their troupes of 25 artists. Winners of ‘India's Got Talent' TV show, Krishna Dance troupe also performed and Bollywood actor, Kabir Bedi anchored the show.

Commenting on the execution, Alok Tilwankar, CEO, Fusion Events said, "A 100ft by 80ft stage with modern flash lights was created to replicate the Bhojpur Shiv Temple. Raja Bhoj was accorded a royal salute with a replica of a massive Shivling of Bhojpur Shiv Temple. The stage had 4 levels starting from 3ft to7ft height keeping in mind the group performances by 300 folk dancers. To illuminate the stage from every corner, a 100 by 80 ft hi-tech motorized trussing was also put up, which was specially called from Mumbai for the ceremony. A variety of more than 35 lights were placed to light up the stage. The Fusion Events team worked for 10 days straight to get everything in place."

BJP National President, Nitin Gadkari was the chief guest at the event. Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan was present with many of his cabinet ministers, legislators, Principal Secretaries and Secretaries. Vidhan Sabha Speaker Ishwardas Rohani; Deputy Speaker Harvansh Singh; MP Kailash Joshi; BJP State President Prabhat Jha; Former Chief Minister Sunderlal Patwa; Ministers Babulal Gaur, Jayant Malaiya, Laxmikant Sharma, Uma Shankar Gupta, Tukojirao Puar; MP Anil Madhav Dave and all Bhopal MLAs; and Mayor Mrs. Krishna Gaur also took part in the ceremony.

Tilwankar added, "45,000 people from every part of Bhopal were audience to this event."

A grand ceremony was held to mark 1,000 years since Raja Bhoj’s coronation.
