Mobile network operator Loop Mobile, hospitality brand Sofitel, time wear brand Esprit and sewing chain The Hab by Usha celebrated Valentine’s Day with an individual flair, each aiming to satisfy its own target audience through brand specific activities.
Loop Mobile introduced the ‘My Dream Valentine’ campaign for its Facebook and Twitter followers. Of these loyalists, six lucky winning couples were chosen from across Mumbai to spend the day together, courtesy of Loop Mobile. A chauffeur driven car was sent to pick up the winners, and they were presented with bouquets, greeting cards and gifts during the ride. Loop also sponsored a meal at Taj Lands End in Bandra, followed by spa sessions for all winners.
Loop has been engaging in this activity for three years now. Speaking about this, Shalini Gupta, Head – Brand and Communications, Loop Mobile, said: “Loop Mobile is known for its stupendous efforts in engaging subscribers as well as non-subscribers through specially designed social media activities. This is our third year in a row where we expected tremendous response to the Valentine’s Day contest. Our increasing social media fan base is a testimony for the same. ‘My Dream Valentine’ is a focused campaign having huge customer gratification.”
Esprit Timewear India also celebrated the Valentine’s Day weekend with its patrons with the Esprit Balagan Love Fest 2014. Held in association with party concept agency, Balagan and the Intercontinental Hotel, the music fest featured an eclectic mix of eight homegrown DJs that entertained guests at Dome Intercontinental, with after parties at Koh on Feb. 14 and at Onyx on Feb. 15.
Hotel hosted parties were in abundance on Valentine’s Day, with Sofitel Hotel in Mumbai also hosting a performance by UK’s all-girl music group, The Tootsie Rollers. Corporate heads, Bollywood actors and socialites joined the hotel's new GM, Biswajit Chakraborty, to celebrate this day with music, cocktails and dinner. Renowned personalities like Arjan Bajwa, Nisha Jamvwal, Ashwin Gidwani, Arif Padiath, Manek Davar, Jo Rajan and others were present at the hotel that evening.
Commenting on this initiative, Biswajit Chakraborty, General Manager, Sofitel Mumbai, said: “Since our inception, the hotel has brought a number of unique international properties to the city including the Moulin Rouge and a rare photo exhibition on legendary actress Brigitte Bardot. This is a beautiful facet of our focus on the luxury hospitality that is a hallmark of this brand. It is our endeavour to continue to delight guests with the very best in gastronomy, design and culture, the three brand pillars of Sofitel.”
Hab by Usha, a sewing experiential store in India, celebrated Feb. 14 with a traditional initiative - an activity to help people create unique gifts like cards, iPad covers, appliqué towels, pouches, bookmarks, key chains, decorative wall hangings and more. The store called on sewing experts to teach attendees innovative designs, decorative stitches and embroidery patterns of the Usha Janome automatic sewing machines and made use of a range of Hab accessories.
The brands came up with exclusive initiatives, ranging from themed music, food and handmade products, for clients.
