AIOCD Pharmasoft awards best in the industry for marketing excellence

The AIOCD Pharmasoft-tech AWACS event was held at Nehru Centre Auditorium, Worli, Mumbai. This event was the AWACS awards in Marketing Excellence, given away to the best companies of the Pharmaceutical Industry in India. Pegasus Events managed this award ceremony and had a huge responsibility of managing over 400 guests.
The event started with traditional lamp lighting ceremony by the chief guest, Ganesh Nayak, the COO and Executive Director of Zydus Cadila. Soon after this, AIOCD introduced Geotrac, their latest development, which was followed by the formal award ceremony.
There were a total of 84 nominations in 15 different categories like Brand of the Year, Brand of the Year - New introduction and a special category. There was light entertainment throughout the event with a good compere. A light act was done by the emcee and her partner. There were three acts in total. All the activities were created in a way where the crowd could participate by answering certain questions about the nominees for the awards, to lighten the mood. The event came to an end with networking cocktails and dinner.
Pegasus was responsible for managing the entire event from the award ceremony to their brand launch and managing the attendees. "We had a 25ft registration panel with 8 hostesses to handle the large amount of crowd," said Tarun Duseja, Manager, Production. "Apart from that, since the event was held in an auditorium, there was not much fabrication involved. Pegasus fabricated a backdrop with a 12ft w x 8ft h LED wall embedded within the backdrop. The videos for the awards were the main highlight as they had to be well coordinated with the emcees script for the nominations and the award winners.
"Another major task was to managing the large number of crowed. In all, we had 15 hostesses circulating amidst the crowd," he added.
The event was executed by Pegasus Events in Mumbai and saw attendance by 400 guests.
