The second anniversary celebrations of Bollywood superstars Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan took place on October 16 at Pataudi Palace, a former palace of the Nawabs of Pataudi, in Haryana, which is now part of Neemrana Hotels.

Keeping in sync with the magnificent venue and the royal status of the family, Tandoori Nights dished out a spectacular spread of authentic Awadhi cuisine, in an attempt to take the guests and the family on a culinary journey of the Nawabs.

Previously, the catering company has catered for various celebrations in the Khan family including Soha Ali Khan’s birthday bash and the Saif- Kareena wedding reception, for which they were awarded The Gold award at Great Indian Wedding Awards 2013 by International Convention of Wedding Fraternity.

Saif Ali Khan said “Tandoori Nights have always made our celebrations, even more special with scrumptious food and immaculate service.”

Sakshi Tuli of Tandoori Nights explained “We wanted to add Nawabi flavours in the food as well as the service. Since Saif Ali Khan hails from that clan of the Nawabs, we thought, an Awadhi theme would add an element of nostalgia for the family. Elaborating on why the particular cuisine was chosen, Chef Lalit Tuli of Tandoori Nights said, “The richness of Awadhi cuisine lies not only in the variety of cuisine but also in the ingredients used like mutton, paneer, and rich spices including the most high quality cardamom and saffron.”

The spread consisted of elaborate dishes like kebabs, kormas, biryani, kaliya, nahari-kulchas, zarda, sheermal, roomali rotis, and warqi parathas. The extravagant feast included delectable kebabs like Pathhar ki Shahi Galouti, Dum Pukht Hara Kebab and rich desserts like Nano Tilwali Jalebi and Shahi Gur Ki Khurchan amongst an array of other dishes.

Actress Sharmila Tagore was also present at the do. The stewards and mobilized labour wore traditional Jodhpuris with velvet blazers and sported saafas.  Exquisite gold plated cutlery and crockery was used by Tandoori Nights, which is known to have catered for many B'town residents in addition to bureaucrats and politicians.

The catering company dished out various authentic Awadhi delicacies for the second anniversary party of Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor.
