EMVIES Fountainhead Entertainment The Advertising Club

The EMVIES were introduced by the Advertising Club (Adclub) Bombay to honour measurable and significant contributions to the field of media. The ceremony for the 14th edition of the award property was executed by Fountainhead Entertainment (FH) at Palladium Hotel in Mumbai.

Apart from managing the ceremony, FH also produced three jury meets for the property. FH has been associated with Adclub across all its events for over a decade now. This year, the EMVIES trophy was presented for every winning entry to both the agency and the client.

Bollywood actress Sunny Leone graced the event by presenting the ‘Best Use of a Bollywood Celebrity in Media' award. Various internal bands from media houses performed in between the award presentations, and at the end were awarded with the 'Band Baja' award. This award is Adclub's own way of promoting musical talent from the media fraternity - a popular segment since the last four years of the awards.

A great addition this year was given by channel Movies Now for the ‘Young EMVIES' award, where the winner received an all-expense paid trip to watch the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix live, plus a chance to visit Ferrari World in Abu Dhabi.

Speaking about the awards, Bipin Pandit, COO, Advertising Club Bombay, said: "The EMVIES this year was an event befitting its status as the Oscars of the media fraternity. A glitch free event attended by 1200 people at a new venue, we couldn't have asked for a grander event in Adclub's 60th year."

There were 650 entries across various categories with 105 judges from the media fraternity gracing Round 1 and 34 top notch clients judging Round 2 of the judging sessions. Thus Adclub had a jury panel of 140 judges for the entries. Out of the total of 650 entries, 132 were shortlisted.

The new categories announced this year were the ‘Best Use of Analytics/Data Technology' in the Best Media Research and Best Media Innovation (for agencies not exceeding Rs 50 crores annual billing with no affiliation to any global agency network or large media independent).

Fountainhead Entertainment executed the ceremony, which is a property of the Advertising Club Bombay.
