The International Communications Consultancy Organisation (ICCO), voice of over 1700 public relations consultancies around the world, hosted its annual ICCO Global Summit in association with Public Relations Consultants Association of India (PRCAI) at Shangri-La Eros Hotel in New Delhi on October 9-10. The summit came back to India after eight years and the event was managed by Epic India Tours and Events.

India has now become the only Asian country to host this summit twice. Entitled ‘New markets. New Business. New PR', the 2014 Summit aimed at exploring opportunities for PR in emerging markets across the Asia-Pacific regions, as well as highlight the latest and best PR practice in the areas of creativity, innovation, digital convergence and client-agency relationships. MSLGroup and DTA Consulting were the gold partners for the event, while The Holmes Report and Mint (business newspaper of HT Media Ltd) were on board as Media partners.

EPIC India came up with the idea of installing an interactive live Twitter wall at the venue. Tweets flowing in with #ICCOSummit were shown live at the Twitter Wall and urged the delegates to tweet more which made it one of the top trending topics of the day. Gala dinner for the delegates was also organized at the end of first day.

Attended by over 150 senior practitioners from PR firms of India and across the world, the Summit featured many of the Asia-Pacific agency leaders and international experts on the region, such as Huntsworth plc. Asia-Pacific Chairman, Bob Pickard and Edelman CEO APACMEA, Robert Holdheim.

Francis Ingham, ICCO Chief Executive, said: "We are delighted to partner with Epic India Tours and Events for an opportunity to host our Summit in India, a country with such a vibrant and fast-growing PR and communications industry. We are proud of hosting a truly global event in the epicenter of Asia-Pacific's PR development."

Pankaj Malhotra, Director, Epic India Tours and Events, says, "Our role involved ideation, planning, execution and overall management of the entire event. We are more than glad to partner with ICCO and PRCAI once again for the successful fulfillment of their event needs."

With this year’s event, managed by Epic India Tours, India becomes only country in Asia to host the ICCO summit twice.
