Lloyd Mathias is President & Chief Marketing Officer of Tata Teleservices. He heads Marketing, Product Management, Business Development & Alliances’, Devices; Supply Chain, Logistics; and Valued Added Services.
As Chief Marketing Officer, Lloyd’s role straddles Tata Teleservices’s brands – Tata Indicom; Tata Docomo;, the wireless internet access service – Tata Photon & the fixed wireless phone – Tata Walky.
Prior to his current assignment, Lloyd was the Senior Director, Sales, Distribution & operations head of Motorola’s South West Asia region comprising India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, & Bhutan. Lloyd held responsibility for Motorola’s handset business & was part of Motorola’s India country council.
Prior to joining Motorola in August 2005, Lloyd was Executive Vice-President of Marketing at PepsiCo South Asia, where he built a formidable reputation in creating & nurturing consumer brands.
Lloyd is a science graduate from St. Xavier’s College, Bombay, with a major in Geology & subsequently secured his MBA from the University of Bombay.
Lloyd served two terms as Chairman of Mobile Asia – Asia’s largest consumer mobile event. He is also the Co-chair of the CDMA development groups’ Device Strategy Council. In 2007 he named among the worlds top 15 marketers, by Inter national list magazine – a list that celebrates those international marketers who are truly the people behind outstanding cross border campaigns.
