Himanshu Khanna brings with him over 16 years of experience in both sales and marketing.
In his current capacity as Director Marketing at Wrigley India Pvt. Ltd, Himanshu has led strategic marketing initiatives like Wrigley’s association with all IPL teams and the appointment of Deepika Padukone as brand ambassador for Orbit® sugar-free chewing gum. Under his leadership, Orbit® received the Indian Dental Association’s (IDA) Seal of Acceptance and became the first and the only food brand to have been credited with it. Some of the path breaking BTL initiatives under his leadership include Boomer Bubble Blowing Championship, which bagged Gold for the category ‘Best New Event Property of the Year’ at the WOW award in 2009.
Having worked with some of the largest FMCG players like PepsiCo, Cadbury and Nestle, Himanshu has a strong understanding of both brand positioning and communication and also the operational knowledge of sales.
Himanshu began his career with Nestle India Ltd in June 1994 as a management trainee sales. At Nestle, Himanshu’s portfolio included brands committed to food, nutrition health and wellness like Milkmaid, Everyday and Maggi Sauces and Soups. During his tenure, he was also responsible for one of the toughest market – Uttar Pradesh as the Area Sales Manager.
Himanshu’s mandate at Cadbury was to enhance Bournvita’s stagnating volumes and to turn the brand around. Through a 360 degree marketing strategy Himanshu played a pivotal role in achieving highest market share in his times. He went to become the Business Head for the Sugar and Confectionary portfolio for Cadbury India in 2000, which included the newly acquired Warner Lambert business.
In 2004, he joined PepsiCo, as Vice President Marketing for the New Business Division for brands like Tropicana and Gatorade.
Himanshu holds an MBA from Faculty of Management Studies, Delhi and completed his schooling from Delhi Public School, R.K. Puram. |
