XO Catering designed and produced an inspiring F&B experience for this afternoon Sikh wedding at Chattarpur, New Delhi. Decor at the event was executed by Malik Tent House.
XO Catering is headed by the dynamic Mohit Dutta who has over the last few years dished out an array of high-end, unique F&B experiences for his distinguished clients.
Cuisines served were a mix of rustic indian sub cuisines keeping in mind that the food had to be light, not oily, and not heavy on Masala, well suited for a day function.
Culinary Delights included flavorful Biryanis, Mussalam, Mooradabai Dal, and more from U.P; Live Dals, Chana, and Paneer Bhurji from Dhabas of Punjab; Malleswaram 18 cross Dosa, Garlic Bombat Dosa and other unique tasting Dosas from Bangalore. Also served were Paddu, Kadla Curry and Malabari Parontha, live Appams with Vegetable and Coconut stew and an array of other delicacies from South India.
The F&B experience also offered delights from Kolkata such as Lucchi with Sukto, Potoler Dolma, and Sorse Begun, which was loved by everyone who tried these. A contrast in Chaat with both traditional chaat and Fusion Chaat was also on offer.
For a western palate XO Catering gave them the option of Mediterranean Cuisine. These had freshly done Ravioli, Grilled asparagus, Steaks of Cottage Cheese, Aubergine, and Quinoa. Light and fresh tasting food with lot of fresh salads were seen.
Desserts were also a contrast of Indian and western desserts. There were equal takers for the live freshly done Gelatos which is a new concept and rustic bikaneri chatri which is an umbrella formed by crushed ice! Chatri is served with malai, gulkand, chandan and kesar. Sharbats served were unique too. XO also seved Bela (fresh jasmine) , safeed gulab ( white rose), keowra, etc.
