Zee News, in association with the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force, celebrated their ‘Love for the Nation' for the third time on Feb. 15. The initiative, conceived in 2010, is a noble platform built by Zee News to express adoration for our beloved motherland.
The musical extravaganza was also an onncasion to salute the Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force on completing 50 years of serving the nation. The force, guarding the 3,488 km Indo-China border in extreme conditions, is considered one of the best mountain forces in the world.
The event commenced with a magical performance by Bollywood singers Sachin-Jigar. The duo mesmerized the audience by singing patriotic songs, followed by a stage performance by the newly wedded bollywood couple, Genelia and Ritesh Deshmukh. The actors expressed their gratitude to the ITBP troops who sacrifice their lives in the name of the nation. The evening ended with a splendid band performance by ITBP.
Commenting on the initiative, Rohit Kumar, DVP Marketing, Zee News said: "Zee News understands that the media plays a vital role in promoting patriotism and national interest. Our initiative is in tune with this thought."
