After creating, managing and executing some of the most extravagant opening ceremonies for large scale events such as the Commonwealth Games in Delhi, the ICC Cricket World Cup in Dhaka, and the fourth Indian Premier League in Chennai last year, Wizcraft International Entertainment executed a stunning opening ceremony for the Bridgestone World Series Hockey (WSH) in Chandigarh on Feb. 29. Wizcraft International is also the franchise owner of the Delhi WSH team - the Delhi Wizards.

The inauguration of Bridgestone World Series Hockey created much hype as it staged some spectacular performances by Saif Ali Khan, Neha Dupia and Mika Singh, among others. The Punjabi heartland swayed to the tunes of A.R. Rahman, as Harshdeep Kaur belted out the chartbuster song Katiya Karoon from the award winning movie 'Rockstar'. Manasi Scott also fired up the stage as she performed to 'Rock On', revealing the league captains from the different teams.

The entertainment fever soared further with a performance by Neha Dupia, while Chandigarh welcomed its own Punjabi rockstar, Mika Singh, who has the maximum number of chartbusters to his name from Tu Mera Hero (Desi Boys) to Dhinka Chika (Ready).

Agent Vinod star, Saif Ali Khan promoted his film at the Bridgestone WSH Opening Ceremony. The Nawab of Pataudi released a new song from the film in his new detective avatar, along with a stunning performance.

Commenting on the event, Yannick Colaco, COO, Nimbus Sport said: "We put together a star-studded opening ceremony to match the scale of any global sporting event. This is a first for Hockey in India and the grand opening was a perfect cocktail of unmatched entertainment and top drawer sporting action. Wizcraft has extensive experience in putting together international acts and has worked on the ICC World Cup and IPL."

Sabbas Joseph, Director, Wizcraft International added, "This is just the boost that hockey required and I am glad Wizcraft played an important role in launching a landmark sporting property like the WSH."
