ShowWorks Sporting manages 2012 IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia

ShowWorks Sporting is managing the 2012 IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia, organized by the Ice Hockey Association of India. The event is being held in Dehradun from March 17 to 25 and is the first ever international ice hockey tournament in India.
India is hosting the fifth edition of this annual championship. The seven participating countries are Chinese Taipei, Malaysia, India, Thailand, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates and Macau. About 215 players and game officials and 10 internationally certified IIHF referees will be involved in this nine-day ice hockey tournament which will be held at an international size ice hockey arena at Dehradun with a 2,500 spectator capacity.
The International Ice Hockey Federation describes the IIHF Challenge Cup of Asia as a platform that "gives Asian countries that are not in the World Championship program a chance to compete and develop hockey in Asia, and help rank the Asian teams in view of the seeding for the Asian Winter Games."
